The Gig Harbor Downtown Waterfront Alliance (The Alliance) is implementing the National Main Street Center's Main Street Approach in Gig Harbor. The mission of the Alliance is to“Bring Together Our Community, Encourage Our Economic Vitality, and Preserve Our Historic Character''. The Downtown Waterfront Alliance is both a State and Nationally accredited Main Street program.The Main Street Approach works as a catalyst to encourage economic development within the context of historic preservation in ways appropriate to today's marketplace.
