Event Description:
An upcoming Wildland Fire Evacuation Exercise is scheduled to enhance community preparedness on the Key Peninsula and Gig Harbor Peninsula. Participants will learn how to protect their families, prepare for evacuations, and stay safe during wildland fires, with insights from first responders. The event is organized by Pierce County Councilmember Robyn Denson and hosted by the Peninsula Emergency Preparedness Coalition (PEP-C), an all-volunteer nonprofit promoting personal, neighborhood, and business resilience. The exercise will feature two scenarios: • Gig Harbor-based Scenario: 12:00 PM – 12:45 PM • Key Peninsula-based Scenario: 1:00 PM – 1:45 PM Registration encouraged: https://www.pep-c.org/2025-preparedness-expo
