Event Description:
Join the community for the 11th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser, a movement to fight hunger in Gig Harbor. Altrusa of Gig Harbor produces the event and brings together generous community corporate sponsors, local artisans and restaurants and caring people who are all there support this one cause.
Guests are invited to buy a handmade bowl from local potters and enjoy a soup and bread meal. Every bowl reminds us of our community’s empty bowls and helping to feed those in need in our community.
Attendees can expect to enjoy a variety of soups made by local restaurants. ‘“We’re hoping to see an even greater turnout as the need has grown over last year and we encourage the public to attend,” says Altrusa President Susan Green, adding that each bowl offers “a simple meal of soup and bread to remind us of how fortunate we are and how some right here in our community are not.”
