Join us for our weekly Public Affairs Forum! This week we'll be joined by John Hellwich, Director of Secondary Teaching & Learning at Peninsula School District  for a discussion titled Thriving Generation Community Project - Moving Peninsula Kids from a Phone-Based Childhood to a Play-Based Childhood.  

The Peninsula community is launching A Thriving Generation, a grassroots campaign to support kids in shifting from a phone-based childhood to a play-based one. Inspired by Jonathan Haidt’s book The Anxious Generation, the initiative brings together schools, parents, faith leaders, and community groups to encourage real-world play, stronger friendships, and healthier development.

The campaign kicks off on October 10 (World Mental Health Day) with events, resources, and programs for families. Together, we can create a community where kids thrive—offline.
